The car overheated while driving on I-95; catastrophic radiator failure (golf ball size hole in radiator, rapid release of water - quickly over heated the engine.)

The car was towed to a local mechanic. He replaced the radiator and water pump - brand new - then told me the head gasket was blown (gee, thanks for letting me know in advance). Subsequently, I had the car towed to a reliable BMW shop. They are recommending a replacement engine given cost of repairing head gasket, which may not be the only repair required given this model has an aluminum block.
- Everything else works; power sunroof, windows, 6-CD changer (trunk),
etc.
- The car is very, very well maintained (body and interior; some minor
scratches on the exterior)
- Nice project car or sell the parts and make some money. I have two other cars and no time to deal with replacing the engine myself; it is expensive to have a shop do the engine replacement work so I'm told.
Could be a inexpensive car for a mechanic or a project car for an enthusiast - great body style.

The car was running when parked but it needs a tuneup and the battery is dead (won't hold a charge any longer).

Driver's side window regular/motor needs to be replaced (window goes down but needs help going up)

Body in great shape, one small dent on drivers door (it most likely can be popped out)

Interior in great shape as well (see pics)

All four M5 18" rims are available (spare is on the car, tire fixed but I haven't put it back on the car)
- I purchased the car from a couple living in Northern VA; it had 60k miles when I bought it. It had a weak transmission and a leaking radiator (the couple was moving and they didn't want to deal with it). The raditor and transmission were both replaced (trans at 110k miles I believe).
Could be a inexpensive car for a mechanic or a project car for an enthusiast - great body style.
