Engine: Powerful, high-revving V8 naturally aspirated engine with lower fuel consumption
Powerful power delivery, impressive pulling power, exhilarating agility – coupled with frugal fuel consumption. The AMG 6.3-liter V8 engine in the new Mercedes-Benz E 63 AMG combines these apparently contradictory qualities. All thanks to an entire package of efficiency-enhancing measures.
With peak output of 386 kW/525 hp from a displacement of 6208 cc the AMG 6.3-liter V8 engine ranks among the world’s most powerful standard-fit eight-cylinder naturally aspirated engines. The rated speed of 6800 rpm and the maximum engine speed of 7200 rpm are the hallmarks of this high-revving engine. But it also boasts enormous pulling power: developing 630 newton meters at 5200 rpm, the AMG V8 offers more torque than any other naturally aspirated engine in this displacement and performance class. High pulling power at low engine speeds, instant responsiveness and exhilarating high-revving flexibility are the strengths of the AMG 6.3-liter V8 engine unveiled in 2005.

Mercedes-Benz Limited Edition SLK 2LOOK
At the 2009 Geneva Motor Show, Mercedes-Benz presented the special edition Mercedes-Benz SLK "2LOOK Edition." It is available this summer on a very limited basis. Like coffee, the limited edition SLK comes in white or black. With only 150 SLK 2LOOK editions available, your choice of paint color is Calcite White or Black; Obsidian Black Metallic paint is an option as is designo Mystic White via special order. 
Interior sport seats come in white or black as well.
Silver or chrome? The 18” 5-twin spoke alloy wheels are standard and they come in two finishes, Titanium Silver or Chrome Shadow.
The SLK 2LOOK includes the typical SLK features such as the Mercedes’ AIRSCARF neck-warming system, heated seats and a transparent 2LOOK Edition wind deflector for the special edition SLK.
Under the hood is the 200 KOMPRESSOR engine. Adding it all up gives you a retail price tag from £31,235. With the extra special edition features, it might just be worth taking a look at the limited edition Mercedes-Benz SLK 2LOOK – if you even get the opportunity to see one. Does anyone have one yet?
Mercedes-Benz C-Class: New Direct Injection Engines
Three newly developed engines with direct injection will make the Mercedes-Benz C-Class more efficient. The new developments raise performance while demonstrating economy and environmental compatibility.
The new engines impress with a low fuel consumption, and therefore exemplary environmental compatibility, while delivering a high output and therefore outstanding driving pleasure. The new C 220 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY saloon, the most efficient C-Class ever, generates 125 kW/170 hp and a torque of 400 Nm from a displacement of 2143 cubic centimetres. This accelerates the saloon from standstill to 100 km/h in 8.4 seconds, yet the combined fuel consumption is only 4.8 litres of diesel per 100 km (corresponding to CO2 emissions of 127 g/km) - the best figure in this category. Mercedes-Benz has several updates in store for the 2010 model line of vehicles. Overview for AMG models (as of May 2009) with additional 2010 Mercedes-Benz model details below:
- V8-powered SLK55 AMG (355 hp, 376 lb-ft) with AMG SPEEDSHIFT® transmission continues.
- V8-powered C63 AMG (451 hp, 443 lb-ft) model continues.
- High-performance E63 AMG sedan (518 hp, 465 lb-ft) with award-winning 7-speed MCT SPEEDSHIFT transmission debuts in November.
- ML63 AMG (503 hp, 465 lb-ft) model continues.
- V8-powered SL63 AMG (518 hp, 465 lb-ft) with AMG SPEEDSHIFT Multi Clutch Transmission (MCT) and V12-powered SL65 AMG (604 hp, 738 lb-ft) continue.
- Supercharged G55 AMG (500 hp, 516lb-ft) continues.

AMG Driving Academy Info
The AMG Driving Academy was established to give AMG Mercedes-Benz drivers the opportunity to hone their driving skills under professional guidance and to experience unforgettable events with like-minded enthusiasts. The driving program offers several events that allow ambitious AMG enthusiasts to improve their car control and further enhance their driving safety. Bernd Schneider, the former DTM, ITC and FIA GT champion is a recent addition to the team of experienced instructors.
Founded by Mercedes-AMG in 2007, the AMG Driving Academy consists of five different programs: EMOTION, BASIC, ADVANCED, PRO and MASTERS; everything from lifestyle-oriented events and courses which take the participants through their first experience of driving at the limit, all the way to intensive race circuit training.
The AMG Driving Academy is offered on several dates at various venues.
