Our friends over at the Leftlane news blog have a post about the possibility of an S-class four door cabrio with production possible as soon as 2009. Here's an excerpt if you want to check it out:
Mercedes likely to produce S-Class four-door cabrio
When rumors first broke in June that Mercedes was planning a four-door convertible concept car based on the Mercedes S-Class, enthusiasts around the globe were surprised, and perhaps somewhat confused.
Of course, the four-door Cabrio isn't new at all. In the 1950s, Mercedes-Benz build one incredible four-door convertible, the Mercedes 300.
Here's a pic of a Mercedes 300 we enjoyed viewing while in Vegas and subsequently in Phoenix – MBCA car club events. For good reason this car owned by Dr. Phil Lufty won "Best of Show" for the concours. It is a wonderful car.
