The Bentley Continental GTC was named the 2007 car of the year by the Robb Report. The second-place finisher was the Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG, followed by the Porsche 911 Turbo, the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 and the Maybach 57S.

According to the Associated Press, editors of the luxury lifestyle magazine and 41 car experts and enthusiasts overwhelmingly chose the ragtop over 13 contenders, citing the Bentley's "remarkable drivability, superb handling, a clean and well-executed design, and minimal performance concessions in the interest of open-air driving."

The Robb Report car-of-the-year issue hits newsstands on January 23.
