So we have re-started the Driving Instructors Podcast (DIPOD), which is a free podcast aimed, surprisingly enough, at Driving Instructors (that’s hopefully you!). I have been busy trying to source as many email addresses as I can that belong to driving instructors, and yours is one of those. I have made a massive list of them all and put them in my email program, and intend to use the list to let you know when a new installment of the podcast is online.

The new show (Show 1 of the 2nd series) is now online and ready for ! consumption. In this first show I am joined by a couple of hopefully regular contributors, Nick Ibbott and Steve Rigby. Even if you don’t have a sound card, it is possible to either download the mp3 and listen to it on a player or burn it to a CD and listen to it in the car.

More Free Music From Mercedes-Benz – SLS AMG Track

The Mercedes-Benz “Mixed Tape” marketing program has been giving away free MP3 tunes for a few years now. Every eight weeks Mercedes-Benz offers ten new tracks of talented young musicians for free download. Past editions are not available but you have plenty of time to get the current release (available for eight weeks).

Warning: The entire 10 tracks are in a zip file, which is a 76 meg download. Unless you have a high-speed connection don’t bother trying to download such a huge file.

AMG Driving Academy Announces Instructor

The AMG Driving Academy announced that Tommy Kendall will be the inaugural celebrity driving instructor and Master of Ceremonies for the AMG Driving Academy. Here’s the press release from Mercedes-AMG:

Tommy Kendall is best-known for his dominating SCCA Trans-Am Series career where he won four championships in the 1990’s, including a near perfect season in 1997 where he won nearly every race on the schedule. Tommy is a successful television broadcaster and analyst today, and is currently hosting the Speed Test Drive on SpeedTV.
